The Official GoPro Dive Flat Lens Housing is a fantastic bit of kit, but the glass plate is completely clear
so only removes the bubble lens distortion effect underwater, it has no fixes for colour balancing.
To make the most of your footage underwater, you will want to fit one of these red lens filters, to help
restore the colour balance, and make the footage a lot more vibrant!
A red filter helps when filming underwater because red is the first wavelength of light to disappear under water.
Often when filming underwater with a GoPro too much blue and green are present and the colors of bright coral
and stunning fish are lost.
You spent enough money on that tropical diving holiday, so these filters offer great value for money to allow you to
re-live and show your aquatic adventures just how you saw them in the first place!
The Red filter is designed mainly for use in seawater, and it will will work best when filming in depths of 10 to 65 feet.
It is not recommended to use a Red filter in less than 5 feet of water because there is still enough red light present,
so you will end up with everything looking slightly too red!

INSTALLATION
To install the filter, you'll need to remove the front glass plate from the housing by unscrewing the 10
tiny TORX screws around the front of the housing.
If you already have a TORX screwdriver set you will be able to use the T6 sized tool or screwdriver head
to remove the lens screws.
