The GoPro HERO range of sports cameras all come with a tough, shockproof outer housing.
Designed to protect the camera in harsh conditions, an outer housing that is 100% waterproof and working correctly is
essential for many sports where snow, fresh & salt water, mud or sand could damage the camera electronics.
If you've managed to scratch the bubble that sits in front of the camera lens, you'll see that on every bit of footage you shoot
using the GoPro from now on. If you've cracked the lens cover then you no longer have a waterproof seal to protect the
camera from the elements!
However, there's no need to throw away your entire outer housing!
Thankfully GoPro have made the lens bubble replaceable, by unscrewing six tiny screws in the outer black plastic 'lens ring'.
It's not too fiddly, and only takes a few minutes. Get your GoPro HD HERO back up and running like new!
NOTE: This lens kit is NOT COMPATIBLE with GoPro HERO3, 3+ or HERO4 housings which feature a smaller flat square lens.
There is a specific HERO3 replacement kit for this purpose.
